The 4 X 4 inch ceramic squares shown above are my first experiments in transferring photographic images onto tiles. These were scanned for this entry before adding a protective clear varnish to the tile.

With my printer’s (HP 9180) archival waterproof inks, and the protective varnish coating, I’m hoping they’ll hold up well indoors or out.

Future experiments include transferring onto tumbled marble tiles and 12 X 12 inch ceramic tile, which might make great items for placement in flower beds.
