P&P Weekly #77
P&P Weekly #77
Jason D. Moore’s Photoshop & Photography Blogroll serves as the basis for his P&P Weekly, where Jason pick’s his favorite photography-related posts for the past week. It’s always been an honor to have a photograph selected by Jason, and his time in spotlighting fellow bloggers is greatly appreciated.
Jason and his wife Kim are on a journey through London and Paris, and for some strange reason this took precedence over his P&P posting this week. Imagine that!
The sites listed below are from the middle third of Jason’s blogroll, and have new entries presented within the last week. Favorites from each are listed and linked to below.
◦In Sync But Unslated - Charles has a nice touch in capturing faces in black and white, but in this case, we can almost read something into the Crossing Guard as they walk away.
◦Invisible Green - Marcus apparently convinced Zoo Atlanta’s Bachelor Gorilla to pose for a portrait.
◦Jason D. Moore Photography - Even while vacationing, Jason managed to post his yellow-themed Geographic Composition series as well as sending us a little peek at this Paris Inspiration.
◦Jen Weaver Photography - The Family in these photographs will certainly treasure these portraits, which are very fresh and really show the life of this crew.
◦John Nack on Adobe - One can always count on John to have links to very cool design-related sites and pages, and this week certainly meets those expectations. The most important post, however, is probably Monday’s entry about the future ability across the Creative Suite to make it as configurable as possible for the individual user. To help make that possible, Adobe has hired Drew Trujillo. View the info in Dr. Woohoo & the future of the Suite platform.
◦Laughing Lion Design - Jennifer gives us a tutorial on bringing focus to a particular element of a photograph as well as a link to a free pdf download of an entire book, “The Photoshop Anthology: 101 Web Design Tips, Tricks & Techniques.”
◦Lightroom Killer Tips - Matt offers his usual great menagerie of video tips, warming filter presets, cool links and “gossip.” Congratulations to Matt for having two books make the Digital Photography School’s list of 9 Hot Photoshop Books.
◦Michael Palmer Photography - Michael’s been hitting Philly and DC, but nothing’s ever as cool as Ice Cream for Breakfast. Beautiful coloring; great shot, Michael.
◦One Shot Beyond Photography - Heather is obviously keeping quite busy with her portrait work, and I’d suggest taking a look at the scope of all of this week’s entries to see the variety of styles she comes up with. (Although I particularly like the black and white “graffiti” shot of Megan.)
◦Pabst Photo - Matthias posts a neutral density photograph of Capo Pécora, West Sardinia.
◦Photo Two-Twenty - Jenny shares a glimpse of some work for a Sierra Fine Living Magazine photo shoot.
◦Photoshop Insider - With as much posting and as many links as Scott is sharing this week, I haven’t quite figured out how he finds time to do his day job. Then add in the time he took on Monday to tell us about My Day With Jay Maisel.
◦Photoshop Killer Tips - Six more tips from Matt since Jason’s last P&P Weekly, including a handy (and new to me) way to speed up a technique via Set Background Color Chip.
The writers/photographers associated with the sites above have wonderful material and resources online. Take some time and explore the sites, as well as the other two thirds of the links found by Jason Anderson and Michael Palmer at their blogs.
Remember to check back to see Jason Moore’s further adventures overseas. Safe travels, Jason and Kim!
