P&P Weekly #88
P&P Weekly #88
Jason D. Moore’s Photoshop & Photography Blogroll serves as the basis for his P&P Weekly, where Jason pick’s his favorite photography-related posts for the past week. It’s always been an honor to have photographs selected by Jason in the past, and his time in spotlighting fellow bloggers is greatly appreciated.
Jason and his wife Kim are moving a bit south for Kim’s teaching job, so a few fellow bloggers are picking up the P&P Weekly baton for now.
The sites listed below are from the first third of Jason’s blogroll, and have new entries presented within the last week. Favorites from each are listed and linked to below.
◦A Clean Well-Lighted Place - Paul’s photography is consistently worth studying, and Untitled (#8802) is a good example of why. There’s nothing unusual about the subject of the photograph, but the tones and composition make an interesting work.
◦A “Focus” in the Wild - The many commenters noting the excellent work on Stacey’s Portrait are correct; the simplicity of the shot makes an excellent view.
◦A Photographer’s Life - Igno’s park scene in Wednesday’s post is dreamlike, and wonderful.
◦A Walk Through Durham Township, Pennsylvania - Jenn on the Brooklyn Bridge is a great study on effective use of depth of field. NIce job, Kathleen!
◦Archerfoto - Bee MIne is certainly a catchy title, and an equally catchy use of color, all without being overpowering.
◦Black and White Photography - Richard’s After a Storm uses the black and white technique to express the power of the storm.
◦Brad Moore - Brad continues his Mistakes series, and leaves us hanging until the next installment.
◦Bruce L. Snell Photography - Bruce’s upcoming (22nd) show is coming up quickly, and we can view ten of the images online.
◦Camera Dojo - The Dojo crew hit the Lightroom update prepared as they offer us several
useful tutorials.
◦Canon Blogger - Jason’s major (long distance) move gave him the perfect opportunity to shoot a scenic panorama. Make sure you scroll to the bottom for the links to the large versions.
◦Crash Taylor Photography - Crash’s set from a training session really shows how a series of different post-processing techniques can create some wonderful individual shots, but still work as a cohesive project.
◦Creative Sweet TV - Mike posts a Lightroom 2 tutorial on skin touchups live from Adobe headquarters.
◦Dave Cross Online - Dave kept busy this week providing us with a lot of individual links of interest, such as his Bits n Pieces entry.
◦Digital ProTalk - Dave posts an amazing amount of material, and of high value, particularly to photography professionals. His own photo, Lava Scape, makes the visit worthwhile even without the other items.
◦doug stremel photography - Doug is preparing for the show with Bruce Snell (above) and others, and mentions his own portfolio site. (Check out the “Simplicity” portfolio. Nice.)
◦f/11 - Punch Bowl shows there are great lines just about everywhere.
◦Foto-Biz.com - Syv provides a number of thoughts on the business end of photography, including a discussion on keywords.
◦Graphic Tips - Eric links to a page with interesting photographs where text is the subject.
◦In Sync But Unslated - Charles posts an untitled work that’s a great example of black and white street photography.
Thanks to the bloggers above, and also to Jason and Michael for posting the other two sections of the P&P Weekly. Make sure you head over to their sites for more fun online visits. (You’ll want to bookmark Michael and Jason’s sites, anyway.)
My best also to Kim and Jason on their upcoming move. Safe travels.
